SubGuard — Privacy Policy

Our Promise

SubGuard is 100% on-device. Your subscription data never leaves your phone.

SubGuard helps you track your subscriptions and billing dates. Privacy is built into the core design: everything you enter is stored locally on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

SubGuard does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share:

• Subscription names, amounts, or billing dates
• Notes or custom categories you create
• Usage patterns or analytics
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Location data
• Contacts, calendar, or other personal data

What Stays On Your Device

• Subscription records — stored locally via SwiftData in the app sandbox
• Reminder preferences — stored in UserDefaults on your device
• App preferences — language, appearance, base currency, stored locally

Local Notifications

SubGuard may schedule local notifications to remind you of upcoming billing dates. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content is transmitted to us or any third party.

Currency Exchange Rates

SubGuard fetches currency exchange rates from a third-party public API (Frankfurter) solely to convert amounts between currencies when you use multi-currency tracking. The request contains only the currency codes (e.g., USD, EUR) and no personal data. Exchange rates may be cached locally for 24 hours.

In-App Purchase (SubGuard Pro)

SubGuard Pro is a one-time purchase ($6.99 USD) via Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple; SubGuard never receives or stores your payment information. Purchases can be restored through Apple's App Store.

Children's Privacy

SubGuard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

Your Rights

Since SubGuard stores all data exclusively on your device:

• You have full control — delete any subscription or uninstall the app to remove all data
• No data export requests are needed — your data was never sent to us
• No account deletion process — there are no accounts

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will notify users prominently within the app and update this page.
